Wahroonga Bathrooms

Living with 2 autistic adults, we know how important it is to create a home environment that is safe, calming and soothing for them. Bathrooms can be particularly challenging as they often have many shiny, reflective, and overwhelming sensory surfaces. With Robyn’s expert knowledge, we were able to create 4 bathrooms that are sensory calming. All the surfaces are matte and are gentle in their colour palettes, with soft lighting features. The floors have non slip tiles when wet, and the towel racks and floors can be heated. The bathroom entries, showers and baths are accessible and the tap hardware has a gentle knurling that means they are easy to operate even for those with some sensory motor impairment.

What Robyn has been able to do is create all this in a beautiful and considered way, so that no one is aware these features exist. What we have is 4 beautiful, serene bathrooms that relax and soothe the soul for all.
