About

robyn coté

Inspired Interiors is a boutique interior design studio, founded in 2004. We love working with clients from the initial renovation concept, through to the final placement of styling items.

Hello, I'm Robyn

I’m dedicated to continuous professional development, regularly attending trade shows and industry networking events to stay connected and discover the latest design trends, products, finishes, and ideas.

Although I initially earned a Bachelor of Commerce/Marketing, I was quickly drawn to the creativity of high-end Event Planning. After several years in Sydney and Boston, I pursued postgraduate study and training in the interior design industry.

My favourite part of my job? The look on my clients face when they walk in their front door.

As your designer, my role is to understand your household and design preferences, then blend those with functionality to offer options that meet your needs and maybe push you a bit outside your comfort zone. We’re here to create a cohesive and stunning result that you'll love and be proud to share with friends and family.

Perhaps surprisingly, Robyn’s first degree was a Bachelor of Commerce / Marketing but she was soon drawn to the creativity of high-end Event Planning. After several years in both Sydney and Boston, Robyn undertook postgraduate study and training in the interior design industry.

"My job as your designer is firstly to interpret – your household and your design preferences. We then marry those with functionality and present options that meet your needs and perhaps stretch you out of your comfort zone too. We’re here to pull everything together for a fantastic result and give you a home to love and be proud to share with friends and family."

MEET THE team

Linda

An essential part of our team; Linda transforms concepts and designs into practical and construction-ready 2D plans and elevations. She also creates a 3D model and coloured renders to help our clients visualize the end result. Creating these models helps identify hidden issues before the physical work begins. Linda has a background in architectural, drafting and structural engineering studies. She has practical build experience and her ‘super-power’ is very clever space planning; especially when spaces are tight. Linda also achieved a Diploma in Interior Design and Styling and has several years of Kitchen Design experience.

ArchiCAD is Linda’s software of choice as it allows her to create excellent quality 3D images and when required; an impressive, client walk-through model of each space.

Our clients usually meet Linda with tape measure in hand, at Trade Day. She is efficient, highly skilled with a bright and bubbly personality. Linda loves the beach and dogs and we love having her on our team.

Janet

Janet is our talented Stylist and Assistant Designer. We rely on Janet’s keen eye for detail, aesthetic instincts and constant sourcing to help us transform a renovated space into a ready-to-enjoy, fully furnished home. Born in the UK; Janet developed a passion for fashion and interior design at a young age. Arriving in Australia, she was hired as NSW State Manager for the clothing brand ‘Seed’. This role allowed her to embrace her passion with store styling, visual merchandising and window dressing.

Janet has designed and renovated two gorgeous homes; using her skills to create a warm and welcoming environment that is the envy of friends and family.

Texture and colour are at the forefront of Janet’s design choices. She is able to inject these two elements and visualise the possibilities of any space. Constantly attending trade shows, art exhibitions, scouring the web and social media, Janet is up to date with the latest designs and trends.
